Forum Folks,

Long before I got the coin op bug, I bought a 60 in 1 cocktail with an LED. It didn't take long to HATE the graphics on the LED. So, I've just even traded my LED for a CRT that was supposedly taken from a Donkey Kong.

My goal is to connect the 60 in one to the old monitor and mount it into my cocktail. I can solder, tinker, and turn a screw, but I have no idea how to begin. Please help. Thanks!

Well, the Nintendo monitors tend to be 100V, so that might have been the best choice. Which cocktail cab do you have?

If your cocktail has 100V Isolated, then you would be fine.

Post to pictures of what you have, as that will help as well.

it also depends if the Sanyo can mount in the cocktail correctly and you can still keep the chassis mounted in the frame.
the Sanyo did not come in a shelf mount frame that is common to most cocktails.

you will also need to invert the video if the Sanyo does not have the inverter board mounted on top of the flyback cage.

then you will need to adapt your video harness over to a .100 connector.

then as suggested, you will have to see if the cab is 100vac isolated at the pour source for the monitor.
if not you will have to add the 100vac ISO into the cab.

the Sanyo is the best 19" monitor you can have.

they are just a PAIN to adapt into another cab that is not designed for them.

Peace
Buffett

Thanks!

Thanks for the quick responses. I'll post a pic soon. The story I was told was that it was pulled from a DK machine and used most recently in a 60 in 1.

Thanks,

This is what I have to work with. 60 in 1 board, power supply that was used for the 60 in one when it was connected to LED, and CRT that I swapped LED monitor for. Any suggestions on how to start appreciated.

Thanks!

thats a wells gardner monitor that uses 120v ac. the power supply isnt used for the monitor, it just supplies DC power to the game pcb.

so, not being a sanyo is beneficial but you'll still want an isolation transformer and you need to look up 'jamma edge connector pin out' you'll see where your video comes from r,g,b,gnd, sync etc... then one of these guys will need to sell you a connector to attach the harness to the input on the crt... and then... and then...

make sure the CRT is connected to an isolation transformer otherwise you will wreck the CRT monitor.
