Hello Everyone,

I just started with this hobby, and I am glad I found this place. In the last month I have purchased three cabinets. A Street Fighter 2 Z-back, a Konami Devastators cabinet, and a Soul Edge II cabinet (which used to be something else).

I am starting to restore the SF2 cabinet first, that is a game I constantly played as a teenager. My friend and I always dreamed of owning one, and it took me this long to actually get one. My friend passed away right after Street Fighter 4 was released, so we never got to go to the arcade to play that game together. I guess this is more of a tribute to him than anything.

The Konami is being converted to a 60 in 1, it will be known as the pumpkin as we decided to go with a Halloween theme for that one (orange with a Jack O Lantern face stenciled on the side). I already ordered the black 2/4/8 way joysticks, black 1P/2P buttons and orange for the rest of the buttons. That may be blasphemy, but Halloween is our favorite holiday...so why not.

The last cabinet is the Soul Edge cabinet. That one is in rough shape, and I am hoping to turn that one into a MAME cabinet. It will remain the same on the exterior, but I will replace the CP. Here are a few pictures:

Santa Ana. Jaunup's last arcade on the planet is there.

I am sorry about your friend passing away...

Welcome to the forum..

Thanks! Have you been there before? I am headed to Family Fun Arcade in Granada Hills on Sunday. I want to get a few more visits in before they close, my friend and I played there a lot. We mainly played at a 7-11 on Riverside Drive and Cahuenga in Toluca Lake, near Universal Studios. We were the Street Fighter 2 kings of that 7-11, nobody could beat us...ha ha.

To jaunup parties? Yes many times. Jaun parties are geared for adults just to let you know. I think he still only charges 5 buck to play 50 odd some games. Mostlye 80 stuff.. Not any fighter tho. The nice thing is that you will run across other collectors from time to time.
I think his parties are twice a month..

You should take way too many picture because once your favorite arcade place is gone it hard to remember all the details that your place had 5 ten years down the line.
