I'm currently looking for a Centipede. A guy messaged me today and said he has one that doesn't work "But it's probably just the power supply-no big deal" Lol.

Anyways, I plan to go scope it out, see how the cabinet and monitor look, maybe sneak a peek at the fuse block.

I told him without knowing EXACTLY what was wrong with it, I prolly wouldn't be able to offer him much.

Not sure when I'll get around to looking at it, but I'll keep Y'all posted.

Sometimes it is actually true. My Millipede supposedly had a bad fuse; turned out that the power switch was just turned off. :)

Oh, and for the record, the other one I'm considering is in nice shape, and I plan to offer the guy $500 for it, which is good for around here. It is a 2.5 hour drive from here.

The non-working one is about 15 minutes away.

So you should use that to your advantage and offer him $50 to $100. Why would you do the work to diagnose it for him (and possibly make it "worth" more) if he is too lazy to do it himself? The reality of the current economy is that he is going to be holding on to it for a long time if he wants much more. Fully working ones are only bringing in ~$250 to $400.

Pass him $100 and if he refuses, move on. I got a HUO Centipede for $220, so deals are always out there.
