any renters out there? i have a fairly nice sized basement, nothing huge...but enough. right now it is vinyl tile...the old school now (petrified) hard kind. while not terribly unattractive, i rather have some sort of carpet, or covering that is not too thick, but not permanent as well, as i am not investing on a full carpet install.

any suggestions that aren't too expensive? it will also dual as the kid's play area of sorts, but does not have to be too soft, just not cold ass tile =)

you can get blacklight carpet, some places will make ti a rug if you give them the dimensions. A little carpet tape and voila
