Someone was asking for pics of my Nintendo storage cabinets so I thought I'd go ahead and throw a few pics of random stuff I have out there other than arcade games. Feel free to post your non-arcade related arcade goodies too.

I got two of these Nintendo cases from a toy store that went out of business in Concord, California. I'm thinking I paid $50 each for them but I don't remember for sure. They originally had the sliders in them so that when you grabbed a game cartridge box it would push the others all forward. I pulled all those out and put regular hooks in to hang my Pez on. I still have the slider containers stashed around somewhere I think. I think I picked them up around 10 years ago but I'm not sure now what system they were for. But they are nice glass front cases with locks to keep the little ones out, so I keep my rarer Pez dispensers in there.

This is a Pez vending machine from the 60's. For a quarter you could get a Pez dispenser in a box with a single pack of candy. Just the cardboard boxes sell for big money and many of the dispensers that were sold in this thing now sell for many hundreds of dollars.

Thanks. The side-art on the spider-man is one of my favorites. I can find a pic of it around here somewhere if you are interested. I don't know if it's available anywhere or not.

i haven't seen it anywhere but i haven't really been looking. I definitely have the idea rolling around of converting it back to spidey tho. I saved my original control panel (but it doesn't have the sexy overlay, that i have seen available) but it's in rough shape as it was converted to at the very least AvP at one point before i got my hands on it. I'm going to clone it and make a replacement eventually also.

The bezel and definitely the instruction card i think would be a hard find also, yours looks so cherry.

btw i don't know much about PEZ other than people love to collect it, what's the stuff in the picture frame w/ the plastic gun dead center top of your first pic? (special pez? or just an advertisement?)

If I could only have one food to eat for the rest of my life?

That's easy. Pez. Cherry flavor Pez. No question about it.

The plastic gun is a Pez gun. It has a clip that pops out of the bottom that holds a roll of Pez candy and when you pull the trigger it shoots the candy out just like a regular gun would. It turned out to be problematic due to the fact that kids would shoot it into their mouth so there was potential choking issues. I'm not sure when this one came out....70's I think.

And across the top of the frame are stick pins with Pez dispenser likenesses on them. Candy sales reps used to wear these when they would go out to scout locations for their candy. I've got the full set.

The candy's in the bottom of the frame are all just some rare or obscure rolls of Pez. Some of them are "Lord of the Rings" candy wrappers which I've never really seen anywhere else. They are from Hungary I believe and probably not authorized. And the big package on the right is actually old candy from the 60's which is pretty hard to find wrapped up like it is.

There's more in there but I don't remember off the top of my head. Probably more info than you want to know anyway!

The 80's Pez gun actually was a space gun and was much larger. Here's a pic for comparison. Both were rather short lived for the same reasons. There was also a 50's space gun which is worth a lot more cash...I don't have one though. Yet.

Hey Brood, I tried to find a pic of the side of the Spider Man art for you but this is the only one I could find without taking time to go out there. You can kinda see it. We had a few people over so they're blocking most of it.

wow! i thought it was a lot shorter for some reason.

maybe the gun i had wasn't a PEZ branded one, i do distinctly remember filling the clip and plinking a couple off lol.

looks like there is a lot of space for more arcades in that other room...

Well there WAS room in there. That picture was taken a long time ago. My wife and I had a deal that the game room would be mine and the bedroom would be hers to decorate and have for guests. Well, guests still have a bed in there but now they have to share it with a few games.....she's not thrilled about this new turn of events. :(

Amazing. I have the EXACT same clock except it has Kenny Rogers on it. I always thought it was some homemade job. With 2 of them in different parts of the country it would seem that at least a few of them were made and distributed somehow.

Well by golly, post a picture of the darn thing!

I think that PEZ gun was re-released recently, but quickly taken off the market because kids were sticking the barrel in their mouth and pulling the trigger.

That black velvet elvis looks demonic. Really sweet PEZ collection though. How long have you been collecting? That has to be the biggest collection I have ever seen. Love the bubble hockey and the SD centipede looks great.
