I was putting back together an Arkanoid that I bought about 4 years ago for 50 bucks as a way to practice repairs. I took it apart and finally decided to put it back together. It was in a Donkey Kong cabinet. The monitor had no red when I bought it so as an experirment, I replaced the tube with an old 19 inch color tv tube. When I stopped working on it years ago, the monitor was working. I just needed to fine tune the yolk placement. Tonight, I reconnected all of the parts and turned it on.... Nothing. I get just a small sound that there is electricity, but the monitor doesn't power up, nothing in the neck of the tube. I plugged the monitor power cord directly into an outlet and there seemed to be a small pop, but it never powered up. I realize now that we use 120v for the house and the outlet inside the game says 100v. I hope I didn't blow the whole board. Could this just be the need for a cap kit or flyback or is this something more serious.

This monitor MUST be operated from a step down isolation transformer.

NEVER plug this directly into a wall outlet or the monitor will be damaged.

What parts? Like more than just the caps. I have idea how to test any of the parts.

Yes - Sorry I don't have the time to hold your hand threw this exhaustive process.

Just an FYI, the monitor wasn't powering up before I plugged it in. Did I also damage the Game board or just the monitor board?

Just the monitor chassis.
