No thread for Skyward Sword?

just open your SS bundle, it's not going to be collectable... there are too many printed units. The Wii has too large of an install base.

then again I had a sealed copy of Super PO SNES sell on ebay for $225... but after how many years?

I should be getting one to play for a week or so.

I don't collect sealed, with only a few exceptions. Zelda is one of them. I don't really care about the price, so much as I enjoy having one sealed, one to play.

I'm planning to get it tonight or tomorrow, and it will probably occupy the rest of my Thanksgiving weekend...

the easy way is to use USB loader on you Wii and keep the game sealed. Loads faster too...

The local walmart had the SS bundles in thw wrong glass case. They had 4 of them left and I bought 2 of them for $60 each. Nessjess - you owe me! LOL

For some reason, now I am holding 3 copies of Zelda SS unopened in hand. I'm going to make a gift of one of them. My friend is hooking me up with a Moto Xoom tablet for my wife for Christmas.

That's exactly what I do with my PSP. I am completely against piracy (lets not get in to that), but I always get the games I purchase in ISO as well as sealed... unless I bought used.

I do plan to do it to my Wii as well, but I just haven't got around to it.

Anyway, I did pick up a second copy last night at Wal-Mart. Being only $10 more, I had to get the LE bundle. Surprisingly enough I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. I think my clock said 10:10 when I parked in, and 10:35 as we pulled out of the driveway.

So, has anyone else been playing it?

I'm in the Last (I assume) dungeon.

I really enjoy it. But I have a few things that make me disagree with the 10/10 reviews and people saying "best Zelda ever"

Adventure of LInk is the "Best Zelda Ever".

It's the only game that ever had me sleepwalking as a kid.

The old man came up and I was crouched in the hall.

"Scott What are you doing?"
"-I'm looking for the lost hammer"
"Go to bed"

I'm playing it. It's taking time away from the classics but well worth it! I just finished the Pirate Ship level. Very awesome so far. I like Twilight Princess better (of the 2 Wii Zelda games) but love Skyward Sword as well.

I just got and just started playing am in the forest area right now so not very far and I'm really liking it it's awesome!

I just picked this up as well and am looking forward to it. I haven't finished the last zelda game for the wii. I did get pretty far, just haven't found the time to finish it.

Has anyone beaten skyward sword yet? How many hours of gameplay is there supposed to be?

I've beaten it.

I got through it in about 55 hours. I did take my time exploring and doing a lot of side questing, so I would say you could easily trim it down to 35-40 if you don't do all the extras.

If you just go straight through without any extras and you rush the whole thing I'm sure it can go faster.

But then what's the point? I'm one of those people who hates not doing 100% of a game. Skyrim will probably be the bane of my existence for the next few months, then I'll move on to this one (which I gave my wife for Xmas)

Well someone who didn't know what to get me for Christmas gave me cash with a directive that I had to buy something fun and not just sock it away, so I picked up this game...

It's fun, but problem... While I'm visiting my folks for New Years, I'm stuck using their SDTV, and the text is almost unreadably blurry.

I hope it's better on my HDTV at home.

I agree. While I don't usually go for 100%, since some of the objectives in most games are just plain dumb, I try to get 100% on Zelda.

I knew a guy who would buy games and just play through without even so much as reading the text. Of course, I think he is the same type to use a game shark or other cheating device.

Wife's playing it now, and she likes it. Looks fun enough, but I'm not even going to start a game until I'm done with Skyrim.

The wife is pestering me to start it as well, but I'm on the fence as to if I want to open the deluxe edition bundle or buy another copy first :p

Finally started it a couple of nights ago. I enjoy most of it, though I was thinking that the controls would basically just be like TP but with better sword play. I don't care much for all the forced motion stuff like aiming my slingshot and all that. Before, you could still quick-fire by tapping a button but you don't seem to be able to do that in this one.

I guess it just takes getting used to.

That was one of my biggest complaints too. You do get used to it, but it would be nice to Z lock on and be able to fire quickly.

It is a fun game, though. Most of my complaints were personal preference more than anything else.
