I'm very new to arcade games and their inner workings so please excuse my noobness. I recently purchased a Final Blow JAMMA cab with an additional Final Fight board for $200. The FF works great but there is no sound. Sometimes there is a "roar" sound over and over, so it leads me to believe this may be fixed. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Any help anyone can offer would be great. I can post pics of the board if necessary.

If the roar sound is one of the game sounds playing then you probably have a bad Z80 on the A board or a bad ROM on the B board. Check the pins between the A&B boards to make sure they aren't damaged too.

If the roar sound is static then you probably have a bad cap on the audio section.

I'm in a similar situation. I have a Final Blow jamma cab that I just switched a Final Fight board into. No sound issues, but the control panel wiring harnesses don't match up. Did you have any problems with the wiring?
