So i start playin around with my little dragons lair anniversary cab that had ultracade guts in it at one time...Was basically empty but had jamma and a power supply with a sweet little wiring setup on a board in bottom that already had the little 4 pin molex to power the 60n1 as well as a computer monitor cable. I popped a nice spare computer lcd and the 60n1 in it but no sound.
Did the ultracade cabs use an amped sound setup???? I know I can run the speaker wires into the jamma harness but is there another way to hook up the sound????

The UltraCade hardware used an I/O card that took audio in from the PC at line level, amplified it and output it on the JAMMA Harness. Pins 10 top and bottom are Left Speaker and Pins 11 top and bottom are Right Speaker.

The 60-in-1 doesn't use the right speaker wiring.

And the 60-in-1 amplifies it's own sounds so you can just send it from the JAMMA connector directly to the speakers. If you want to use whatever I/O card the Ultracade uses for amplification (so you don't have to change wiring), you'll still need to run a cable from the speaker out connector on the 60-in-1 to the I/O input...

The sound works great hooked up to any speakers besides the ones already in the cab wtf????

nothing is ever easy..Got monitor mounted , lookin good so far..just need a couple more buttons for gunsmoke etc...

new problem

Guys I have all the sound issues solved..I don't have a manual for the 60n1 and know that switch 4 puts it in test and I think player 2 button cycles thru but can't get my test mode to go past the first screen with the color blocks.....

If you turn the test mode on via dip switch #4, then you use the P1S2 button to advance and the P1S3 button to go back. If you don't have those buttons connected to the JAMMA harness, you won't be able to navigate the menu both directions, or even forward without P1S2.

If you have those buttons and can't navigate, check to make sure the button is working.

Otherwise, if you have a test button, you can enter the test menu that way (by holding the TEST button down when you power it up), then navigate the menu using the test button...
