So, I have a cinematronics world series cabinet. The power supply was missing when I bought it, so I bought a new one and wired it up today. Good news is, the game works. I have sound when I add credits, and can hear the game playing when I play with the controls a bit.

The bad news is, the monitor doesn't have a picture. I don't hear much of a hum (only a little buzz when I first turn it on after it cooling down), and there is no glow coming from the neck. I have checked, and there is 125V going to the monitor, and the fuse checks out OK for continuity. I also reseated all connectors on the chassis in case there was just oxidation from not being used and being old. Could the flyback be bad? Or, is the tube shot? I'm not sure how to even tell if a tube has gone bad. What else should I try?

Pull the chassis and physically check it out. Look for cold solder joints especially around the flyback. If nothing is obvious do a cap kit. If your fuses (some monitors have more than one) are ok your flyback and HOT are probably ok. What kind of monitor is it?
