Ok everyone, I am new at this.

This is a 27" arcade monitor in my Golden Tee Live machine. Label says Makvision Model 2929D1.

The last two times I powered off the machine, when I turned it back on, I would not get a picture on the main monitor for about a half hour, but the picture would eventually come in.

I recently powered off and back on. When I powered on the machine again, I got no picture from the monitor, and this time for good.

Only thing I can see is a lit up Yellow LED light on the back of the monitor board. I hooked up an external monitor and the game plays fine.

Anything I can do? Just trying to find out if the whole monitor is dead, or if it can be fixed.

Thanks.

I don't recognize that monitor number but it is very likely that one or more of the electrolytic capacitors on the monitor chassis have failed. This is very common and fairly cheap to repair if you are able to solder. Another possibility is that the flyback transformer failed, it is also a replaceable component though more expensive and harder to find.

Ok, thanks. I will take a closer look at the monitor and see if I have the correct numbers.

Ok, so I got some time to poke around some more. I did see the following (and forgive my lack of correct terminology):

There is a ground wire from the back of the monitor frame that was soldered to the back of the neck board. As you can see in the picture, the ground wire came loose from the neck board.

Any way that can be part of my problem?

take a close look at the 1000ufd caps in the power supply....these usually fail and cause the monitor to not power on.
And no....that ground wire is only one of many grounds that run to the board....so it it not going to fix your issue.
