No, My Donkey Kong Restoration

Nice job Kent and kudos for you for doing it for the fundraiser. HArd enough to keep schools open let alone teachers employed. Can I ask how much it made for the fundraiser?

Sure. It was the featured item and it went for $900. Considering the economy I was pretty pleased with that figure. I actually got a big kick out of all the attention the machine got. Many of the men in attendance were in that late 30's to mid 40's age range and therefore were well aware of classic arcade games. When I rolled it in, one guy, who was obviously excited, asked if that was my donation. When I said yes, he walked over to his wife and told her he wanted it. She just rolled her eyes. The auction organizer came up to me several times during the evening just to let me know how many men were inquiring about the game. Two other guys who were obviously arcade nuts back in the day asked me to take off the back door so they could peer inside. It was the last item to be auctioned so it sat in a corner powered on waiting its turn. It was never lonely though as there was crowd around it most of the evening. A few even dropped quarters into the game to play it. It was a fun evening.
