The GI lights in the backbox of my pinball machine don't work, as soon as you turn on the power a relay in the back box clicks and the GI lights don't come on. Treid replacing the relay but that didn't help, is there a solenoid or transistor on one of the boards in the back box that controls the GI lights for the backbox?

What game is it? I had a similar issue on my Williams Big Guns and I had to fix some issues with the interconnect board.

It's a Bally Gameshow pin, just looking at the schematics and it shows that the GI lights backbox relay is controlled by transistor Q14 on the main cpu board so I am thinking maybe that the transistor is faulty.

Are you getting power to the back box relay? Did you check all of the fuses? I'd look for a quick fix first before replacing transistors. Did they just stop working?

I am getting power to the relay, as soon as I turn on the pin the relay clicks and the contacts in the relay change postion and the lights won't come on. All the fuses are good and I just got the pin and they weren't working when I got it. They do come on when I disconnect one of connectors on the interconnect board, when I plug it back in the relay for the backbox GI lights clicks and the lights go out.

Checked transistor Q14 and it is ohming very low compared to the transistors around it so I think that could be the problem, going to try and replace tonight and see what happens.
