Left my astroids deluxe on for 8 days straight... that is all.

how'd you do that????

the game is in the corner. I usually plug it in to power it on. The marquee light must have also recently burned out so I did not notice.

I guess the machines were really built 30 years ago for long hours of operation, but I get pretty pissed at myself when I do this.

I probably wouldn't have noticed if the game didn't warm up and create a smell.. Not a burning smell, but sort of a not my home smell if you know what I mean?

This thread screams for Disaster Girl!

didn't have a GO-8 in it so you're like, 100x safer than a Sega cabinet.

now, if you'd said you'd left your Star Trek on for 8 days straight without burning down the house, i'd be impressed.

Haha, the first time I saw a Star Trek I saw fire coming out of it.

I have been known to accidentally leave one on when going to church or work or something but not for 8 days. That's the kind of thing I would have noticed. If not me, the wife would have certainly turned it off.

Is this really that dangerous? I thought these machines ran 24/7 back in the day.

Most machines could/can.

Others... let's just say... are used for warmth in the wintery months. :D

My games are dispersed through the basement pretty good. The room this one is in really only gets opened when I want to play one of the games. I guess I am lucky I went looking for a tool.

Well I'd say I have given it the burn in test...
