Hello. I am getting ready to place an order for some pinball parts. My No Fear game no longer counts the "jumps" when you make the jump ramp shot.

I have searched everywhere on the internet, including the operations manual and can't find the correct part number for the switch that counts the jumps. It seems like a very common switch. When I search the operations manual the closest I can find is part # A-20069-1 which is the gate and switch assembly. I do not need the gate nor can I find that part # anywhere.

I have attached a picture of the swithc in question.

Does anyone know the part # I need?

Thanks for the help!

This is the one.

Have you checked your switch in switch edge test first with a finger then a ball ? It may need simple adjusting.

Before ordering a switch I would check your with a meter to see if it's working. If so you may have a broken wire somewhere shutting it down. Your switches go from switch to switch back to the CPU. Your manual has the info look where your switch is and the row and column it is on and check other switches for a break or poor connection.

If you have a bad switch and replace it get the wires in the same spot and silver band end of diode facing the same way too.

LTG- thanks for your help! The link you posted didn't work, but I think it's the top one that I put up in the post above yours.

I haven't tested the switch in the switch edge test, but we did check it by finger and with a ball. I bent the arm and it worked great for one night and didn't work the next day so I bent it again and it worked great for about 30 mins and then started messing up again.

Learn to bend/adjust it better.

You can see where the arm snaps onto the switch body, and the little button the arm pushes into the switch.

Any adjustments have to be well past that so you don't adversely effect the switch's operation.

A little tweaking and you should get it working right.

Also be sure the switch isn't bolted down too tight, and some of them you can loosen and just turn the switch body a bit to make it better.

So if the switch does work does that just mean its an adjustment issue? Do these switches pretty much work or not work? I bent switch arm kind of far, but maybe not far enough. My thought was that the switch was getting wore out and wasn't engaging as early as a new switch would or wasn't engaging consistently.

Let me know. Thanks!
