NJ: Anyone else notice Craig's has been quiet for good finds last 1.5 months?

Its kind of like that everywhere. Seems like all the good games are starting to dry up.

It's definitely like that here. This time a year ago, you couldn't NOT get on CL and find at least a few games. Now, you're lucky to find one every few weeks.

Its tax return time. People are getting all these tax return checks and don't have to sell off their "antiques" in order to pay the bills.

I see tons of games listed in nj.

This time of year is crazy in upstate ny.

It can also be seen as a good time to sell cause people are getting back the money they let the gov't borrow all last year. They are just getting it in a large sum.

it's dead here in Montreal. Kijiji is getting spammed with people selling multicades for 1500 nowadays. It's a shame because the guy doing this is always using classic cabs (his latest creation is a virtua fighter cab with one of those godawful Blue Elf cart, but he didnt even bother to drill 3 more holes, so the cab only has 3 buttons per player... That blue elf cart is all about neogeo fighters (4 buttons), and capcom stuff (6 buttons)

I have lots of awesome jamma pcbs I bought over the winter (legit cabal joystick edition!!) but I have no cab to put them in :( I'm starting to ponder simply getting plans of classic cabs online and rebuilding them.

As far as Jersey goes there`s 3-4 guys(2 are partners) & they are buying every classic they can. They gut em like fish, multicade them, put em on njcl for stupid $$$ & then list the original guts on epay...kinda of a shame...

I have been noticing that too... "$2200 for your multi - of course thats a deal!"

typical. typical. typical.

that stinks. these things go in cycles tho. seems like classic arcade games are on the uptick a bit.

I've noticed that here in South Jersey that when I click on a game that I may be interested in on Craig's List it turns out to be a 60 in 1. It was just a few here and there up until about 2 weeks ago. Now there seems to be an abundance.

Are these 60 in 1's that good?

I'm guessing that they are since I've been able to buy original pcb's (DK, Centipede, Pac, Galaga) for a song. Remember when you couldn't touch a working Galaga pcb for less than $225? :)

I hate to see original games being converted like this. But I'm happy to see that there is money and an alternative interest in this hobby. I couldn't have gotten back into this hobby with the way prices were 10-12 years ago.

I guess it's just economic evolution.

That is why I flag every multi I see on CL. Even the ones in NJ. Those multi boards are pirate products that are against the rules on CL.

I'm feeling the same way here, through CL, feebay and even KLOV... I used to be torn constantly by which game I should go for, now I'm just waiting for the day when another game I would actually enjoy having comes up within 250 miles :(
