So I needed to finish my DK3 cab that has been sitting idle for 2 months. I was gonna throw it all together and just call it good, when I remembered that I needed to add a few choice details first. One of these was the light blocking Ninty Mullet. I constructed this one out of a large sheet of heavy duty black posterboard which I picked up from Walgreens for 99 cents.

The measurements are 22 7/16" wide and 15 3/8" deep. The fold line is 1.75 inches from the top. The notch cut for the bezel retainer is placed dead center of the folded tab and cut 15/16" wide. The 1.75" folded tab is then stapled up to the back of the cab roof and the long 'mullet' part hangs down 13 5/8" from the top.

let me know how that works. that looks a lot nicer than the OEM mullet, which is curved and loaded with dust in my mario.

i've gotta admit, i've never fully understood the mullet. i've owned nintendo cabs without the mullet, and it doesn't seem to make it that much different as far as viewing the screen.

Chicks dig mullets... show as that pic when you had yours Phet?

Started constructing a new Ninty Mullet last night. Can you believe it's been 2 years since my last one? Man, time is flying.
