I don't really get it, I tried swapping out the stick (was going to just do the switch but I had an extra nintendo stick so I swapped it all) I tried bypassing the whole wire from the switch that makes it go left to the connector....

Another odd thing, I had Dr Mario in it before, switched it to Super Mario Bros. When you start a 2 player game the first player goes to the right side and second is to the left. In a one player game the first player is on the left. I thought that was weird but I'm assuming normal for this game?

It worked fine when I had another game in the system but not now. What can it be?

In a one player game on SMB, *both* sets of controls will control Mario. You might have a short somewhere if that isn't working.

alright.. I guess I never really tried, you're right. I just think of the left side as player one :)

So it is just the left on the right stick.

I now have it so both sticks can control Mario in one player and the left and right directions both work. There was a short in a wire, replaced it with another piece of wire.

On two player it gives control of Mario to the right side, but it still will not go right. I don't understand, the wire I changed was the one that agrees with the pin out and I even traced it, I mean it's the right wire. Why would it only fix it for one player games?

Double check the wiring and test all the switches. Even a switch that looks good might have a short.

The switches are all good because on one player now everything works with both sets of controls, right?

Tested them anyhow and they are all good.

I dunno, this cab is so hacked up (converted from pacman) that I should just be looking for a new harness.
