NINTENDO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS CART on ebay (not mine) HOW HIGH WILL IT GO??

If this is found to be legit and the auction actually completes I would expect it to reach $8K-10K maybe more, because of the condition. However, none of the recent auctions with it actually finished, they were reported and pulled before finishing.

Hmmm, this intrigues me... That link about it possibly being fake is a good read with some good info.

If that cart is fake, the winning bidder will be hurting big-time.
Since fakes have turned up in the past, I would've expected the collectors to use caution before shelling out the cash.

Wow, it hit $8,500, but I am seriously convinced that the pics were bad photoshops and it was a fake. The "0220" serial number looks to have been photoshopped from another cart pic with "0" and "2", the "2"s look the same. There's a good possibility that the high bids were fake bidders too, to foil the seller. That same 220 cart looks to have been relisted on more than one eBay account, so it screams of a hacked eBay account.

Seems to be not an uncommon eBay scammer tactic - Hear about an obscure rare collectible that's worth a lot of money, put up a fake auction, and hope someone bites.

Caveat emptor...

That's around the prices that the gold carts usually go for... Oh well, I hope it turns out to be real (for the bidder's sake) but the evidence as of this time is definitely leaning toward fake.

From that other thread linked, it looks like the pictures are exact same as the auction from earlier this year from a different seller.
