I designed something on paper in 2003 that was when attached to your hand would "read" a player while gaming to later find it in a Skymall magazine in 2004 for the PC.
The device was meant to monitor a persons vitals while gaming. According to a persons "signals" game play would change resulting in a new experience. Any heightened state would alter game play. I wonder how Nintendo intends to use this. Any ideas?

The article is from 3 and a half years ago...if they had any plans at all for something as silly(and absolutely useless) as this, it would have at least debuted with the Wii U.

My guess is they realized how pointless it is, and shit-canned the idea altogether.

I disagree with you. I think if a game can sense how you feel rather than just your position relative to the game is a missing aspect to true immersion. My thinking is the device will be integrated into a future remote. I wouldn't be very expensive.

This would be very useful for games like Wii Fit. It also could be used to track your "Panic State" for a home version of Dark Escape 4D.

So we've got the VR goggles and the blood pressure sensor. Now all we need is some kind of e-fleshlight.

It would be awesome! Imagine Eternal Darkness with this device. The game would KNOW how terrified you were.
