Even with the pictures and description, I am having a hard time seeing the problems.

1) Box: Are you talking about that shadow looking thing in the lower left quarter of the screen?
2) Colors: Have you tried adjusting the monitor since you got it back from the cap kit?

That shadow is screen burn. Looks to me like the monitor brightness is adjusted up too high which is why its highlighting the screen burn.

Silly question where would the flyback adjusted be at still kinda getting to hang of this

Looking at the back of monitor, on the right side there is a metal box that says Danger! High Voltage on the right side. On the back there are two holes one is Focus the other is Brightness.

OK thanks for the info ill try this and see what happens

well i play around with it today, got it a little better then it was. i might need a Nintendo vs hardness

you have to adjust the red green and blue controls after you cap a Sanyo EZ, I've found out. it's because previous owners adjusted them over time in an era before it was commonplace for a bunch of nerds on a message board to just say "install a cap kit" :)

permitting of course that's the problem you refer to. it's also not uncommon to have to adjust the flyback Screen brightness (called "coarse" brightness) and the Brightness control (the "fine" brightness) after you cap one of these monitors. there's also a medium brightness control, but I never needed to tinker with that on all the Sanyo monitors I worked on.

I did that and the flyback a little. The thing is if the hardness not at right spot, you get a crappy picture then I move the hardness get clean picture not sure if it the hardness or the hardness to the filer board?
