Hello, I have 3 nintendo vs. pcb boards in need of repair. I have the diagrams and am acutally in school for board repair so I'd like to try and tackle it myself. I was wondering if if any of these issues are know problems. 1) Board has very low volume, not a problem with the audio bord on the monitor, works fine with all my other PCB's. 2) Board has no Left joystick and button operation, and 3) The board cycles, red, blue, then yellow and goes black. I've tried different eproms and cpu on all boards. Any help or guidance is appreciated.

On the third one, i've seen lots of these boards with damaged sockets, so check all those for continuity.

On the first one, try recapping anything in the audio section.

On the second one, see where the inputs enter the board, then trace back from there until they're all combined. For instance you may see that the 'left' input goes through these transistors and resistors, then into this chip where all the other inputs enter as well. So obviously the problem is from that chip back, etc.

Thanks for the quick response and suggestions, I'll start checking them this weekend. It's a win win for me I'm addicted to video games and now they'll help me build my skills towards my degree.. LOL!
