Hi guys! What is the recommended sockets when fixing the Vs pcb's? Especially if putting daughterboards in. I appreciate the help.

Might work, but you'd likely have to modify the latch. I don't know if there is enough clearance under a DC, especially some that use the shorter pins, to latch and unlatch it.Maybe try a ZIF socket?
A click or a crunch noise… and then it's tight, usually after your palm has IC imprints.Vs daughterboards are the worst.... how hard should I push? Harder. How hard? Harder. Just push until the pcb says "ouch".
I don't think the non-machine-pin pins will fit in a machine pin socket in the context of Vs daughter cards. For normal CPUs, sure. But not the daughter cards.Machine round sockets are the only way to go.
Confirmed,, the brassy pins with wider legs of the Vs. Dr. Mario, Vs. Castlevania etc that I have will not fit in Machined (round) pin sockets.I don't think the non-machine-pin pins will fit in a machine pin socket in the context of Vs daughter cards. I was just about to edit my post to say I tried it, the pins are physically bigger. Thanks!Confirmed,, the brassy pins with wider legs of the Vs. Dr. Mario, Vs. Castlevania etc that I have will not fit in Machined (round) pin sockets.
