Quick background. I own a Nintendo Vs Castlevania that was placed in an old Midway Pac Man cab. Long story short, things in that cab were not working.
I bought a Vs Castlevania in a Nintendo cab (dK jr) because I figured it would be an easier set up and I would not have the problems that I was facing in the Midway cab.
So here comes the questions...

1) What IS a daughter card...?
2) My Midway cab had the game board (pic one) AND this extra board (pic two) that hooked up to sound and the monitor I believe. That is it. But in the NINTENDO cab, there looks to be a different set up. I see where the board plugs into (pic three), but what about this extra board from the Midway cab???
3) What are the two AA batteries for on the main board?? Should I replace them?

1)Daughter card is the small board on top of main board. That is your Castlevania PCB
2) You will not need the old set up
3) throw batteries away do not replace

That simple huh?
1) Batteries, were they just for a SAVE KIT?
2) What should I do with the old board? Sell it? Is it worth ANYTHING?
3) Still don't know what a Daughter board is. Why isn't it separate from the PCB? I know it is attached to it, but still, what does it do?
Are daughter boards specific to each game? Or are they generic that would work with ANY Nintendo game?

Excellent! That was SO helpful! Taught me a lot!
So if I wanted to also play Goonies, all I need is the Daughter card.
Thank you very much!!

I did man. It's great! Good thing I got those end connectors because I didn't have them on my board.
I will get some pics up once I clean it.
