Hey all,
3 Questions.

1) Does SUPER MARIO BROS, come on a PC10 cart??

2) How hard is it to take a Nintendo Vs. machine and turn it into a PC10??

3) Would you rather have a Vs. Super Mario or a PC10 with a mario cart in it and others??

PC 10 Yes. SMB, SMB2, SMB3

The Vs. Super Mario is a little different. Harder for sure.

I would have Vs. over the PC 10. I have both.

I like that it's more difficult. No cheats. I haven't saved the princess on Vs. SMB yet. Did you find your bolts yet?

Bolts? You mean for my DK machine? Oh, yeah a long time ago. They work great.
I have an opportunity to pick up a Super Mario Vs. Machine for $250, but I really wanted a PC10 because I could have more games.
So I considered switching the Vs. unit to a PC10, but don't know how hard it would be.

It's not hard but it is a complete kit to do the swap, you will need a PC10 board, control panel, marquee & wire harness to complete the swap, the filter board, cage & power supply are the only items in your Vs. kit you would reuse. The kit seems to sell around the $250 range on here so you might be better off finding one localy with some games installed.

BTW Vs. SMB is the better of the two the only thing Playchoice has going for it is the pause feature!!

JJ is correct. The Vs SMB is better. It's more challenging.

As far as converting a cab from Uni to PC-10, it's not that difficult. You will need: A new marquee, new control panel, new motherboard, new wire harness, and of course, the game carts.

I've used my cabinet, both ways, and I see the pros/cons for each. I still prefer Vs SMB over PC-10 version. However, if you want 10 games, in one cab, PC-10 is your answer to placate you.

I have both the pc 10 and vs and i like the vs better. Yes you get more games (potentially) with the pc 10 but they are just console nintendo games. Although at first I thought it would be cool to have them in an arcade form I think I would rather have them on a console as I played them BITD. Yes VS games made by nintendo are harder than their console versions. Games made by other companies seem to be the same on both VS and PC 10.

Interesting. I actually would rather have an "easier" game because my kids will be playing it. Besides the difficulty, is there any other differences like graphics, game play??

I've heard people say the graphics may be better on the VS although I can't say I'm sure of that. I do like how the VS is pretty straight forward where you just coin up and select the number of players. I still don't play the pc 10 enough to not fumble around and have to try every button to get from the game select menu to a specific game to actually starting that game. Then of course if you push the wrong button while playing it exits the game.
