Nintendo Vs HSS kits and why it wont work

Your right... I made a mistake and thought it was a 6164 on the board.
If I accidentally told anyone that you needed the wrong nvram and you ordered it then let me know and I will send you the right ones. My bad.

That link is to a 8Kb chip... wrong size. You need a 2Kb chip to replace a 6116.

Souza sells M48Z02 on his site for $8 each.

THAT IS IT!... I ask for some help, and you guy just screw me around! Order this, no order that!! ...

Hah just playin. No harm no foul, I'll see if i can correct the order through Jameco. No worries man. No need to get burned for trying to help us all out Souz!!

Matt, why do you need a Jamma adapter??? I have a Mike's Arcade Jamma adapter I use....

I am not planning on making a daughter board for these, just rom updates. The 6116 ram will need to be desoldered and a socket put in it's place. There are two of them on the board. One at 1E and 6E. There need to be replaced with DS1220 or MZ48z02

Thats the one i have. Its pretty awesome to plug and play it into a jamma cab when i need to test something out!

I think the best way to handle this would be to solder a socket in, right?

Correct

Looks like this is the way we will have to handle this, but it's completely worth it!

That's what i will be doing.

I mean, i don't ever expect to take them out, but it is just easier.

Initially, I thought Jason was going to do more testing on the product. A jamma adapter would help with accomplish this, since I believe he's doing this in MAME.

True, I don't have a pcb or a jamma adapter so to really pull this off and possibly do some others I would need those things (I deally would love if someone local to me had a red tent to sell).

Hey souz, i actually have all of that. Pm coming your way.

Well, the 3 vs games I have currently are SMB, Excitebike and Dr. Mario. So, I vote those 3. Will these roms be available for download for those with a programmer? Either way, these are a welcomed developement.

I have some extra boards/PPU's to help this project along.
