Im new to the Nintendo VS scene and I have a couple questions. I have had a VS SMB for a while and recently bought another pcb with excitebike on it. My first question is can I run both games on one board in a standard cab or will it only work in a dual cab or red tent?
Second question is will duck hunt work on an LCD monitor? Not that I want to do it but it was just something I was curious about. What is the theroy of operation of these anyways? Do they work the same as the light guns that came with the NES console?

A standard VS. cab can only run one game. You are correct, to run both games on one board.....you need a red tent or the big VS. dual cabinet. I do believe Spaeth made an adapter that allowed you to toggle between two games on one board in a standard VS. cabinet.

I'm unsure about the Nintendo guns....I'd only be making guesses.

With the vs switcher that Spaeth was selling I believe you can play both in an upright otherwise no.
Same gun tech, no workie with LCD.

I'm no expert, but I was under the impression that a VS dual board could (like is found in a red tent) had two haves. You could put two separate kits in each half. Then, you would power it, but if you swapped the connector on your PCB, you could easily play both games off the same board with only the minor inconvenience of the edge connector swap. Of course, its been a while since mine was in my cab as I swapped my dual vs board to DK which is not a simple plug and play conversions. Hope that makes sense.

You cannot just swamp the edge connectors. I am not knowledgable in regards to Mark's switchers, but those would probably be your best bet. Otherwise you would need a dualsystem harness and swap monitor/cp/coin door connectors for a switch which would be a big pain
