Hi guys!

Name's Lev. Not really savvy when it comes to old arcade systems, so here, I'll just go with the story:

I went to an estate sale a few months ago to try and buy an old Pac Man (cocktail table) machine for $100. Unfortunately, didn't arrive soon enough. The guy had collected a lot of old game machines and by then many had been sold. So I just searched through the open garage filled with dust and such and noticed a bright red machine under some junk. After some cleaning, it appeared to be in great condition! Only probelems were a few dents, the feet had some surface rust and a scratch on the screen. Turned it on, works like a charm, except the controls and screen need to be adjusted. As the title says, that's what it was! It had the gaming license tags or whatnot and was for only $20 bucks, so I took that and another sports game system home for $25 altogether.

Now for the question,
What's the history on the machines and the price for this certain one? Looked it up a bit, but, still a bit brained-out.

Thanks and hope to know y'all!
Lev

Sounds like a red tent machine to me? you scored well for 25$, they usually sell around here(this forum) for 250-400$

Ahh, thanks, y'all! Yea, it's a red tent alright! Amazed at how it survived in such great condition all that time in the garage right next to the lake. Hard to believe how addicting such games can be when we have Call of Duty. You can tell it's been heavily played with the patina and rub spots from the players arms, haha! I'll be sure to include some pics when I have time. I'm possibly interested in selling it. No space here, and it's been covered and used as a table in my mom's antique shop, so rather then let it be forgotten again, to a deserving a person it shall go!

Thanks,
Lev

PS: One of the sad things was that they only sold the PacMan machine for a hundred bucks. Ahh, well, least this made up for it!

kjeffery had it right for the Red Tent prices here, I did sell mine a few weeks ago for $450 though, to someone outside of KLOV :) $25 is a hell of a steal, does it have Vs. Tennis for both sides? I can think of a few that you made jealous with the price and game(s) includes, lol. Great find.

Just depends on who you find when selling. I didn't want to sell mine, but it was that or make room for two pinball machines coming, pinballs win hands down.

lol, nice! Yessir, it has Vs. Tennis on both sides. Ehh, not my fault they're jealous. Just kidding, sorry folks! Thankfully it's an original dedicated machine and that always helps. Probably need to get someone to work on it as well as keys to open it. Then the real '80s fun will begin! What type of Red Tent did you sell, may I ask?

Lev

I had the tent in decent condition, with Dr. Mario, Super Mario Bros., 2 sets of Vs. Golf, 2 sets of Vs. Baseball, & Excitebike. It was a good deal for whoever bought it, I needed the room :D

Be sure to hit up the Red Tent Registry thread...

And it's super easy to get new games for it. Just a bunch of chips, or boards...

It's a great system. A little awkward to place, but awesome none the less.
