I plugged the harnesses the arrows are pointing at directly into the board to see if it worked. Everything is great except for the inverted colors. Is not using the boards in the picture causing my color problems? It has "Crime Fighters" in it now and someone used a Nintendo to JAMMA adapter between them and the cf board. The rom chip in 2b/8b has a broken leg and I stuck a jumper in the socket to make contact with the "stump"

All Sanyo monitors run inverted colors by default and Nintendo boards put out inverted signals so that the PCBs and the monitors pair up. Some Sanyo monitors have inversion boards on top of the flyback to allow for plugging in non-Nintendo games.

So, it sounds like your board is working, it's just going to need to have its signal inverted to run correctly in that Sanyo monitor. If you have the inversion board on your monitor (this is likely in that cab) then all you need to do is flip the signal and you should be good.

I've attached your photo, with the video inversion pcb circled in red. You see that yellow cable on the inversion board? Make sure that cable is plugged into the "non invert out" header, not the "invert out" header. Be sure to check both inversion pcbs.

Here's a picture of the inversion pcb. Note the headers. Honestly, you can just eliminate the pcb altogether if you're using the monitors for a Nintendo game. They're not needed.

Inverted colors.

What are the #'s on the PPU chip you have cause I can't see yours in the pics? If it's the wrong one it can mess up the colors. The number is on top of the chip that has the heat sink. It's between the roms and the CPU. Here's a link to a good source for all things Vs. and PPU compatibility.

http://johnsarcade.com/nintendo_vs_ppu_info.php

It tells what model PPU can be used across multiple games to get the right colors. It doesn't have to be a SM PPU. Thought it could be a possibility and I hope it helps.

I swapped that plug and the colors are right but now there's a buzz from the speakers. No buzz when the colors are backwards or Crime Fighters is hooked up

I need some help using the Nintendo to jamma adapter. When I plug it in with the non invert out connector plugged in I get a negative image(inverted) colors? When I plug it in the other connector invert out, it doesn't show anything in the crt. No neck glow

I'm trying to use a 60 in 1 using the adapter in a Dk jr cocktail cab for now until I get my 2 stack fixed. Any help is appreciated. I'm stumped
