If I am trying to use a VS board in a cabinet that is for ONE PLAYER but the chips were set on the P2 side of the PCB and that side of the PCB does not work correctly, but the P1 side of the PCB DOES work, will that show up on the cabinet automatically or do the chips HAVE to be on the P2 side on the PCB for a 1 player cabinet?

When I only use one side, the chips have to be in the 6 and 8 locations. I guess you could change around the wires in the edge connector to utilize the other portion of the board... but i would want someone to confirm that.

It will not automatically show what is on the other side. They are technically two boards combined into one. They both have their own inputs and outputs. That's why i say theoretically, you should be able to switch around some wires on the edge connector and it should work.

What makes you say the other side has something wrong with it?

lilman: chips are corrupted on one side, work fine in the other....tried reseating them, cleaning the PCB, that's what I ended up with, just one side works...

I have had the same problem with one of my Vs. pcbs. It has been in my dualsystem cab. The game I install in the Row 1-3 side works fine but the game I install in Row 6-8 doesn't come up. I know these boards have issues quite often but I noticed, when I got it, that one of the small caps near the chips was cracked. Now it is basically broken in half. I want to try to replace that cap to see if it's really that easy of a fix for me. But, I suck at figuring out the values of those caps... anyone know right off hand? It's one of the small brown flat round ones.
