Nintendo vs ( blue tent )

There are slight differences in most of the games. Think of PlayChoice as NES basically. Vs. basically has the same graphics, but gameplay and sounds could be different from their NES counterparts. There are also some differences between Vs. unisystem and Vs. dualsystem in a few games. I think John (Blkdog) has a good page on this, might check his site out.

Well it's a red tent, the guy painted it with a paint brush looks good for brush not on any other parts. Took it home plugged in turned on Mario side screen lights up ( no game or sound) foibles side has skinny line from top to bottom...:-(... Then again it 30 degrees in my shop

Just curious, was the ice skating rink you got this from near Danville? I was looking at a Neo Geo cab last week that also was in an ice skating rink. Nice find either way, good luck on your restore.

Monitor lost horizontal deflection.

Although I wasn't expecting it to really be a blue tent, I must admit disappointment.

I think a factory blue tent would be sweet

after more research i discovered a blue tent, green tent, and a yellow, and none of them were 'factory'. remember it's not like the red dk cabs. these tops were only used for the sit down dualsystems, most of the parts (monitors, bases, legs, even buttons) were produced only for the red tent. the only authentic tent that wasn't red was a dual system that was assembled unpainted (seems to be a top that was never finished) but i don't have conformation if it was even sold or a production or serial #. from what i can tell is that it may have even been a "dry run" machine (prototype) and will post pics on my registry as soon as i unearth them!

I would love a red tent stripped of its paint then clear coated, it would be like a DeLorean!

Well, darn, so the exact same blue tint one I saw years ago in an operator's warehouse was some kind of rare version. I know that one was not re-painted with a paint brush for sure. I looked at it closely and remember thinking "nah, the red original ones are really nicer"....

The tent will use a takigen k6510 key unless the original owner changed the locks.

The NEO...pick it or drill it. Can you get into the coin door? I find a lot of games with the CD unlocked and the backdoor key hanging on the back of the door. I have even fished a couple of keys out of the bottom of a cab and had them open the back door. If the CD is open and no key then reach up and open up the control panel, pull out the plex, and try to go in the front and unscrew the tab off of the lock.

I have a friend that can hook me up with powdercoating, actually getting ready to do a set of wheela for my car fir free. I can also get stuff chromed I actually thought about when I chrome the legs doing the tent, lol but that may end up totally fugly.
