Nintendo Vs. Artwork Project

Tweaked a bit with spacing of the images, changed text format and color, small additions, etc. Better, IMO:

FNA! That is insane! You guys are amazing! +1 to Raikus for getting this going!

Jon (OTT) the only thing I'd change is that the A button is one flap and the B is the continuous.

That's now how it is on the Vs, is it? The NES/PC-10 version, yes there is a 1-flap button and a continuous-flap button but on the Vs I thought they were both 1-flap.

Nope, same deal. 1 flap and 1 continuous. Regardless, awesome job guys!

EDIT: Sorry, brain fart. I got confused with the NES version. The Vs. version does not have continuous flap. My bad.

In that case, the buttons on my upright dualsystem were lame because that didn't ever work. I'll have to try it out on the new Red Tent. This is exciting. My hand always got so cramped after long sessions... umm... what are we talking about? ;)

Alright... I just went down to my Red Tent to try out this 1-flap vs. continuous flap situation. It still only does 1-flap per button press. If I hold down the button (either button) nothing changes... no continuous flaps. I checked my dipswitches against those listed on Johnsarcade list and they are all in the "off" position which would give me 1coin/1credit and 3 lives. I want continuous flap... what the crap? :)

Oh wait, Ben, you're right. I got mixed up as well. The NES version is the one where you hold down a button and it's continuous flaps. The Vs. version (the better version) doesn't have that "cheat" feature. :D

WoW!!! You guys did that fast!!! Now i just have to figure out how to print these suckers in the correct file size and i will be in business!!! :)

Honestly when i was busting on eseyo, i didn't think that it would all happen this fast! Raik, thanks for throwing gas on the fire! OTT ... awesome work!!

It will be a busy weekend for me but I'll try to start on Wrecking Crew art. Will post the AI files here once they're ready.

Do you have a screen shot of the original or is it off the cuff? Just curious. Either way, there are guys on here that have proven, we can come up with something original, that kicks ass!

I'm using the arcade flyer art like I did with Balloon Fight. I've never actually seen a Wrecking Crew IC. Be nice to find one but until then...

Very cool. Personally, the WC flyer is odd! :) Mario and Luigi look funny. More pixelized! You can barely make out what the original looks like, on the flyer.

This is the source file I'm working on now: http://www.arcadeflyers.com/?page=flyer&db=videodb&id=3259&image=1

Once I vector the art on the flyer (and fill in the spots where the Red Tent and text come in over the image) I'll work on the Mario and Luigi individual art found on the backside of it. That plus logo should be enough to put together a IC along with some button, joystick graphics.

Thanks for the kind words guys! Glad I could help- even though my red tent will be traded next week, :001_ssad: I still plan to have one in my game room down the road when I get the OK from wifey on the build out.

If you download the PDF file I sent to Raikus, it is sized at 6 x 6 inches and should print out at that size directly from the PDF.

:001_ssad: indeed! I was hoping you were going to throw a nice warm blanket on it, while it sat in the gayrage, this winter. *sigh* :001_ssad: indeed.

No kidding :crying:

I played it for about an hour today while the kids played on the MAME rig. Damn, I will miss it. But, like I said, I will have one again some day. Here's a sketchup idea for the future game room build out (with red tent strategically placed). Wifey is weakening on the build out...
