I'm curious about how many use "Nintendo to JAMMA" adaptors in their games.

Specifically adaptors like the one Mike sells at MikesArcade.com.

I ask because I was wondering if using such an adaptor solves the infamous Nintendo audio hum problem. And I was also wondering how the on-board video inverter compares to the original.

Thanks.

I use 2 different ones in my cab.
One from Mikes and the other one came with the cab so I don't know where it came from.
I don't get any hum with either one.

Thanks.

Obviously removing the audio amplification away from the monitor solves the problem of the hum.

I remember a decade ago when so many were re-capping the audio board in an attempt to cure the hum problem, but it was rarely if ever mentioned that the proximity to the monitor was the problem.
