Hi,

Having an issue with our Nintendo Super System. Has 3 games, slot 1 is SMB, slot 2 is Fzero, slot 3 is Tennis. Game, monitor, sound, and controls work for all, EXCEPT for SMB, you can select the game, but the controls don't work for it so you can't actually play. But those controls works just fine for the other two games. Any ideas??

Does the Super Mario World cart work in either of the other slots? Do the other game carts work properly in slot 1?

Are you sure the game is actually starting? Does the SMW LED blink when coined up? IIRC, you can set different coinage settings for each game, so if coinage for SMW is different (or corrupted), you may think you're starting the game, but actually just in attract mode (i.e. no controls). I don't think the LED will blink if you don't have sufficient coins inserted.

You can check coinage in test mode (hold the service button while turning the game on... or I think you can hold the button and press the restart game button). Or try just setting it to Free Play (lets you press restart game to add credits).
