First wanted to post I am looking for a few pieces yet to finish both of these builds:

- Original Nintendo light up volcano buttons
- Original Nintendo Non-Light up volcano buttons
- 1 more Controller
- Complete Jamma side of the wiring harness (I know i can use my original and reproduce it but hoping for an original for plug-n-play

So a buddy of mine and I both ended up each picking up nintendo super system cabinets both in rough condition. Mine was purchased for 60$ that was turned into a deer hunter while the other one was turned into an Area51 that we got as part of a trade lot. I've been sitting on these 2 cabinets for about 10 months now hoping to get to them but really waiting to have enough parts to start working on them. When a set of controllers came up on ebay for 250$, and also picked up another single controller for 150$ It was a no-brainer time to build out these machines. I will note that about 2 years ago we also found a NSS turned into a turkey hunter that was in very nice shap overall and I was able to convert it back into a nintendo super system and it's been part of my collection SO these ones will be ultimately for sale when they are finished.

Here is pretty much how they looked when I got them. They did come with the control panels installed but removed to start working on the cabinets.

Not really worried about the base on each of these as I will create all new base pieces for both cabinets, the cabinets aren't horrible but do need alot of bondo and cleanup work on the edges as we you can tell. I spent alot of time filling holes on these starting with the one on the left first.

After some cleanup of these 2 sides so far:

Today, Working on cabinet #1- left side of the cabinet as well as a new base for cabinet #1. The base wasn't in horrible shape but it was splitting between the layers of plywood so I went ahead and decided a new base for this nicer cabinet. Between the base for cabinet #2 and old base from cabinet #1, I should be able to restore the base for cabinet #2 with original pieces.

Nice! Looking forward to more updates!

I've always loved this design. No idea why Dynamo didn't make a more generic version of this cabinet.

Current status of cabinet:

- New base T-slot cut like original and installed, all hardware painted black and put through my shaker.
- Cabinet is finally standing back up, thte 4" tubing for the foot bar is being painted and will go on next
- T-Molding installed on entire cabinet, art installed on one side but the art isnt cut properly so I will need to redo the art files to match the side profile of the cabinet.

Were these actually a thing at arcades? I never saw one of these at any arcade when I was a teenager (the time the NES came out) or as a young adult (when the SNES came out). Playchoice, yes, I remember seeing and never bothered with because I "had the full game at home." Or was this something kind of like a store kiosk?

I would assume so, they really work best with coinage. Also I think this was kind of the successor from the PC10

They had one of these at the local roller rink in the early 90s. I remember it had Super Mario World, Tennis and F-Zero. The giant controllers and bright 25" really made it memorable. My first game came from the owner of that roller rink, back in 2004 and I remember he still had this game there. I did ask about it, but he didn't want to sell it back then. Definitely a unique cabinet design.

Continuing work in between other projects I finally have the control panel coming together. There was one of the buttons that was enlaged that needed repaired and a little bbit of 3d printing and some Jb weld and this one is ready for art..

I saw these at a few arcades in metro Detroit. Satellite Bowl in Dearborn Heights had one. Nintendo seemed to abandon it quickly, I think there are only 4 games? Seems odd, there were so many playchoice games.

Got the rest of my harness ordered from Tony Swann as i was missing the kick harness off the original harnesses in the cabinet bbut otherwise I just need the CP buttons to complete the panel which ill just order from arcadeshop.

Yea Not many games were available. Luckily an SNES card adapter was created for this to play any / all SNES games...

Here are the games it came with natively:

12 games were available for Nintendo Super System machines.
