Been a while since I made any progress on this project. I've had a lot on my place recently.
I realized that I am doing a restore on 3 Nintendo tables all at once, ultimately I needed 9 of these cockail buttons. For the quantities I needed, it just isn't financially feasible to buy them. For both the button and cap, it would cost $18 from Mikes Arcade. I also got a quote from Highly (the people who made the switch assemblies). The Highly switches are similar to the original Omron ones (and even follow a similar naming convention). I got a quote from them that wasn't that much more than Mike's, but it still was a bit much for me. So I decided to take it into my own hands and make my own.
Nobody makes the blue buttons. Which is what I needed most, so I did that one. The blue isn't exact but is pretty close. It was Egyptian blue PLA from micro center. I'm really thrilled that my 3d printer is good enough to do the M10x1 threads just like the orginals.

It ended up working out great. I wanna try to sand the caps a bit to make them smooth like the orginal. To be honest though, I really like the texture. It looks kinda cool. I'm also looking into some off the shelf caps that are the same size (once again no blue though) for the red and green ones.
