got a nintendo sanyo worked befor the capkit. Did a capkit +audio i have audio so thats good but now i have vertical colaps:( replaced TR402 TR403 B+ pot and filter cap and fliped the service switch to no avail. checked all the caps and they all appear to be in the correct position and polarity. checked and adjusted the B+ and have it at 108vots. All the parts are from bob roberts new. i can see the game playing in the vertical line thats there so i know the signal is getting there i did not plug it into the wall only into the powersupply in the cab. its a duel moniter playchoice 10. any ideas to go on i have some doner chassis to pull parts from so any help would be great. looked at dorkert's flow chart but it doesent go past TR402 TR403 and the service switch.

Well, in my many years of fixing things I've found that it is a general rule of thumb that if something worked before you worked on it, 99.999% of the time it is something that you did to it. 20Ez chassis are a bit fragile and have a lot of junk connected to the main PCB. I'd check for broken pots, unconnected plugs, grounds, wires, traces etc... Are you 100% sure you flipped the switch the correct way and are you sure it's not busted?

no i have done 8 sanyos with no problems this is the first stumper yes i have fliped the service switch the other way and back i have the other monitor i capped rite beside it with no problems as i have the harness out the back of the cab so i have adjusted both the same B+ and all did the same to each caps B+ pot sound the only diffrence is the TR402 TR403 on the one i am having trouble with and i have no dought its somthing i did. just trying to figure it out is the hard part. and i have first hand experience in breaking these chassies i have at least 3 i will have to jumper the traces on:( just trying to not toss another in the scrap pile as i love the picture they display.

Check for hairline cracks around TR402 & TR403, and reflow the solder on your new caps to make sure that you have good joints with no lifted or broken traces.

fixed fixed fixed

 !!!!!!!!!!!SUCUSS!!!!!!!!!! thanks all it was a broken trace between R423 and D401 now she lives. now if i can find a better desopldering station. cant afford 2000 for a good pace machine sucks again thanks all for the sudustions and pushing.:):)

Hey, that's great! It's cool to get one up and running again, ESPECIALLY a sanyo, because the picture looks so nice on those after a capkit.
