So i bought a DK recently and started to troubleshoot whne i got home. The monitor doesn;t work and the neck isn;t glowing. Checked to see if it was getting power and it is. Then I replaced both fuses on the chassis with working ones from anothe rnintendo cab, still no power. can anyone help?

check for cracks in the chassis. i have found several chassis that had broken traces.

sometimes you have to hold it up to a light or use a flash light from underneath to see them. also be careful and you can flex the chassis a little to see the breaks. just don't tweak it much or you could break it further.

and make sure that your fuse holder is holding the fuse tight i have seen that alot where the holder is so weak. that on power up it looses connection from the rush of current.

and if you haven't. cap it the caps could be blown and keeping it in HV shutdown

Peace

Is the game board getting power? Check your main fuse at the switch and test your voltages to the iso and from the 100v outlet inside the game.

possibility it's a combination of caps and B+ needing adjusting? (ie. HV shutdown)

I have THREE Nintendo monitors (2 EZs, 1 Sharp) that are all doing this, and I have the cap kits and shit to fix them, I just don't want to lol

So I have power going to the chassis and the fuses are all good and working. I guess I am gping to yank out the chassis send it out to
get rebuilt.

did you read what I said? save your money and cap it yourself, it's very easy. and then adjust the B+ to 108V heh

If you've never removed a 20-EZ chasis..take pics and notes on all the connections... a couple are prone to blow something if you hook it back up wrong.
