I just got a Punch-Out!! game on Valentines day. After 2 cap kits and some board repairs it is now fully playable and has entered the herd.

You can read about the road trip here http://www.thebasementarcade.com/roadtrips13.htm

The only thing that'd make the pic any greater is a heavenly light shining down upon all the games. I need to find me an MB widebody.

I bet I have a replacement coin acceptor, return and reject button in my toolbox somewhere. Not an exact match (not silver IIRC), but its something.

That Nintendo row is going to be a mile long before you know it.

nice! though i gotta say, capping two sanyos in a row doesn't sound like my idea of a fun afternoon...

I do have to say that was the least fun of this whole thing. I did one cap kit yesterday, and one today. You got to pull off a good 2 dozen screws, several brackets, wires clips, nylon clip PCB mountsm, etc just to the get to the board. At least they turned out nice.

Someday I will drive through St. Louis (or wherever you are in Missouri) for no other reason at all but to stop by The Basement.

Fantastic, man. As always.

Hey, I'm in St. Louis, where are you getting these finds?
I posted a WTB ad on Craigslist that someone responded to. I didn't get the deal of the day, but I didn't overpay either. I had just sold a game so I was looking for a new one.

The part of the story where the van is sliding down the hill, is too classic! Glad everyone is ok!
Thanks. When the van started to slide backwards it was heading off the road. If it would have went off the road it would have gone down a hillside and would have rolled or eventually slid into a neighbors house. We were very lucky.

Dude what a sweet sweet set up you have. The first picture is absolutely amazing!! I'm really diggin' the Hogan's Alley. One of my favorite games growing up. I remember playing it at the little store right across from the house I am living in now. Great memories. Nice to see it getting some much needed love. Props to you for a sweet HA machine!! Internet high 5!

Great story and beautiful row!

FYI, I believe there might be a slight typo at the end of the third paragraph.

. He was an honest guy, and said after we had agreed on a price he checked ebay and wishes he had asked for me.

Asked for more perhaps?

Here is my "mini" version of Nintendo row.

Jeremy inspired me to seek out a Nintendo neon sign.

Soon to be added to the row are my Mario Bros. wide body and Playchoice dual monitor.

You know, I've just kind of gotten into this hobby, and have been HOOKED hardcore. I've been in it since November and have been buying about a game a month. I started looking on ebay for one, and was able to find it within a month or so. I don't know if I just got lucky, or if they show up that often.
