Nintendo releasing new NES

That's cheap for an NES 30-in-1 unit. We can get been Heck to hijack and retro-pi it with the entire NES collection. ;)

I doubt its like those pos reproduction nes's it has hd so idk. I have an nes, top loader nes, and a famicom with disk system but idc I'm buying this. Knowing nintendo this thing will be sweet and most likely be a collectable in the future.

For the price and coneidering it has most of the games iD want to play on my old NES, I'll probably buy it. Probably a hot xmas item.

The controller alone would be worth the price of $59, it can be used on Wii and Wii U also. At the worst, the mini NES can always be gutted and can become a cool Raspberry Pi case for using RetroPie. :)

I have a Retron using original NES controllers and cartridges and I am good with that. My NES took a crap but I can still play the games.

Collectible? They're going to make about 5 mil of them. I guess maybe in 30 or so years it might double in value.

No I think it'll be limited release like amiibos they'll put just enough out for people who are quick to buy. The others will have to go to resellers and pay 2x and in 10 years I think it could be worth more than a few hundred. Also I just think its slick looking really lol

The only way this is going to be a limited release is if it blows and nobody buys it

If you want your original NES fixed, or want to get rid of it, let me know.

The idea of this new mini version, will sucker in all of those people, who wanted all of the top games. Same crowd that goes for the 60-in-1's. And will hurt my side hobby of cleaning and repairing original NES systems and games :(

Of course, first thing out of my wife's mouth "I want one!"

The games included are pretty much the best of these multigames of all time. Castlevania, Final Fantasy, Super Mario Bros 3, Mega Man 2 all on the same damn machine? They'll make another fortune by Christmas.

Sadly, I predicted Nintendo will exit consoles after the NX and become more of an IP/Software company like what happened to Sega. Gameboy was their bread and butter. Phones and tablets have killed it. Why bother trying to compete with hardware when you can just sell a controller attachment for a phone with a bundled app?

Mark my words.

After the success of Pokemon Go I feel like Nintendo is just going to turn to phone games now... Not even joking.

They've got IP for days that could translate pretty well into phone apps... and Nintendo is all about reaching large audiences... Pokemon Go is comparable to the Wii. It's bringing an absolute boat load of casual players into Nintendo's fold.

There's no way they aren't going to jump on this now that they see how well Pokemon Go is doing for them. Their stock literally jumped up like 20% or some crazy amount. It's absolutely bonkers.

Especially when you consider Nintendo has billions nestled away already. It's not like they *need* to get out of the console business. They could make 5 failed consoles in a row and still be fine.

I think the best feature is the HDMI connector. Up until now,
all the Plug & Play games were composite video which looked
pretty damned crappy on an HDTV.

I can't wait for this! I plan on getting one for myself and one for my nephews!

Agreed. I am hoping that the system looks better than those other plug and plays.

Amazing that they included Castlevania 1 and 2, but didn't include 3 which is the best of the NES series.

Why would they do that? The point is to sell them and turn as much profit as possible.
