Putting my Red Tent up for sale. I got this as a converted Neo Geo. I did a complete refurb back to Red Tent status (which was no small feat) back in November of '22. It's not 100% original because I could not source ALL of the original parts, but it's close enough. Only things missing are the coin mechs for the Castlevania side. Also had to install a switching power supply. Both monitor chassis' were toast, so I installed some fully rebuilt K7000s with the color inversion mod, got them adjusted, and they look amazing. SMB has the Free Play/High Score mod along with a CR2032 battery and holder. Here's a link to all that was done...
The machine has been on location at my arcade for the last few years ever since I did the refurb. I knew it was going to get beat up, so I did not go all out on the refurb. Just enough to make it look good. It's still in pretty good shape, but it needs some new CPOs. Switches, buttons, joysticks were all brand new back when I did the refurb. The joysticks could use a little cleaning and greasing but they work perfectly fine as they are. Since I installed K7000s, an external audio amp was installed for the sound. One channel is for SMB. The other is for Castlevania. I only used one so it controls the volume for both sides. I didn't consider it big deal. You only hear one side if you're only playing one side.
I also have another PCB with Vs. Pinball and Vs. Ice Climber along with a spare Sky Kid board. All roms sets work but the board just resets over and over. Verified it's not a voltage issue or issue with the rom sets/CPUs, etc. Not sure what is causing it so I'll include it along with all three rom sets and hardware for an extra $250. $2750 for everything pictured.
If you have questions, feel free to ask. Thanks.
Thanks.
Red Tent Project
Picked up a Red Tent a few months ago in Kansas City. Someone converted it to a Jamma Neo Geo setup. Both of the original XM-1801s were present, but it turns out they both had shorted yokes and both of the chassis' were butchered from previous repair attempts. They really weren't worth saving...
