Nintendo Red Tent Restoration to end all Red Tent Restorations!

Hey Guys here is my Red Tent Restoration with pics. I am the poor man's Phetishboy :)

OK here we go! I bought a beat up Red Tent. Ill post some pics of where I started, what I have done, and where I want to go! Man its too bad Phet doesn't have a drive through drop off location where we could drop off our resto's. NO HOMO on Phet by the way! The guy just kicks major ass when it comes to restorations. Gives me wood! FizGig too! Anyway enjoy mofo's!

1st set of pics of when I brought it home!

New Progress

More pictures of resto in progress! I took the machine all the way down to individual pieces! Sandblasted most everything! I used automotive Primer and paint! Matte Black finish! Has a slight sheen to it. Looks awesome in person! Used the same paint on my Dual monitor PC10 Restoration. David Shoemaker was kind enough to give me a Red Tent Height extension bracket for my Red Tent project. Its the 2nd to last pic. It makes it so you can stand and play the red tent....pretty cool! Thanks David!

Thanks Eric

We used an automotive paint. I believe it's a lacquer based material. It's really strong and durable. Not to mention beautiful! I am definitely excited to get this tent back together!

I'll bet!

If you don't mind I might pick your brain about the paints at some point soon when I start work on mine. :)

Amazing work so far. I look forward to seeing more as I will probably need to do some restoration work on mine, if I can get one shipped to the UK

Can you give more detail on the paints used please? e.g. Colour codes

Just awesome. Inspiration right here. Wish I could paint right now but it is too damn cold. Need a heated shop!

Thanks guys! I'll get the paint information for you soon! I like joking about Phet but his projects inspire me to do better on my restores.

You are as bad as I am, where is your respirator? I have coated the inside of my lungs really good the last time I painted a cabinet. I made a plastic paint booth and had a huge squirrel cage blower sucking the air out. It wasn't enough. I was hacking a coughing up black paint for a week.

Haha Tighe

You see that wall behind where my bro is painting? That whole wall (10' Tall X20' Wide is on giant filtration fan! The paint fumes didn't even get near us! His shop is pretty amazing for doing projects like this!

Hey guys

I am needing a few buttons to be able to finish my Red Tent restoration. I need 2 Black, 2 Red(The darker Red Tent red), 1 Green, and 1 Purple. Hope some of you guys will have these buttons I could get from you so I can finish! I listed a picture of the red button as its a darker red unlike the orange/red buttons that came on the playchoice 10 machines! PM ME if you can help me out thanks!
