Hey guys,

Just went to lowes and color matched my CPO. The cab color looks just like all of the other red cabs I have seen.

I know I also painted the black under the speaker panel red... It's gonna be black, but the last person who had the cab painted it blue :( so until I paint it black, at least it matches for now.

Here are the pics of the cab and the paint code. Just thought I'd share.

Are you painting a cabinet in your kitchen?

LOL.

I love it, but my wife would kill me. :)

I live in a apartment. I didn't want to pull it out on the balcony. Lol.

My wife actually convinced me to paint it red. I was gonna leave it blue until I started checking out everyones red cabs.

there should be a sticky'd thread with all the paint codes for machines, i just ran across the capcom big blue "blue" code.

looks good, one good thing about doing it in the kitchen is cleanup is easy :D

Been looking for the DK red code, thanks for posting. Now my question is how much paint for one cabinet, and about how much does this cost?

Me too, for that matter. :p
I got the code for the Capcom Big Blue.

So the numbers are as follows:
OZ 1 0 0 0
384th 332 338 6 186

Base:1753"

Here's the original thread about it.
Thanks, James

Picked this up tonight.
Intersting note, in Canada they dont have the red base paint in Semi-Gloss.
I had to get mine in Eggshell. But I did get it.
I look forward to getting this project started.

Ya I thought it was odd.
I just got what the girl said would be the best match.
As the employee said @ Lowes I can always add clear over top.
I guess the one good thing is that eggshell paint hides flaws well.
I'll post pics when done.

Here it is !

Looks not bad, paint went on even. Took a few coats to get the look I wanted.
In the basement I don't notice any issues with the finish of the paint vs. the other cabinets.

I did notice the paint comes off easily from the cabinet. A few touch ups are required from getting the machine into the basement. I've never had an issue paitning a machine before. I'm thinking possibly the cabinet was painted in oil prior (as I used latex) ?

My real concern is installing the art, I won't have the option of pulling it off to re-adjust.

Glad it worked out for you. Fwiw, I'm not having issues with the paint coming off. Although I have really moved the cab since I painted it
