I have a few Nintendo DK style power supplies and when one of them is in a game, the monitor has a ripple going across it. Replacing it with another solves the issue, so I know that one needs repair. Anyone know the values of caps or what have you that is inside before I crack it open and start checking values myself? I know most would just do a switcher replacement, but I like my PS to be original.

Thanks for any info.

I have very limited information and Skills working on Nintendo power supplies I think I worked on 12 of these but I have worked on several switches in my past.

Some are single board power supply and 2 board system.
Taking it apart means lot of little screws. You might want to take pictures on the way. to help you putting it back together.

I have had weak power supplies, Meaning it would give the game odd issues.

Most of the time it's the Big caps Just after the Bridge rectifier.
if the top of them look swelled or they are soft on top like a marshmallow. I normally just replace them. Sometime with something a Little bit bigger.

if your want to know what caps to replace on a punchout. You might want to pm Jaunup he recently recapped his.
