Nintendo Playchoice "Wait 10 sec..." Problem....HELP !!!!

I have a issue with my Playchoice.. It displays "Wait 10 sec..." upon boot..
When I try to press play it resets it self and goes back to "Wait 10 seconds"
Has anyone had this issue and knows how to fix it?
I have tried taking out all the boards and re-inserting em again thinking it may be a loose connection..
I could really use the advice , I cant play any of my games ..
Thanks..

Sorry I do not know the fix but I have seen the issue. Actually my game sort of has this issue. If I turn up the sound pot on the game to what would be a reasonable sound level I get the w"wait 10 seconds" message and the game continually resetting. If I turn the sound pot down where the volume is audible but real low the game works fine and does not reset. Not sure why this happens as I have not even tried replacing the sound pot.

Help

I believe the answer to your problem is a new power supply. I might be wrong, but I know Ive seen this problem before and I believe the solution was a new power supply.

Thanks.. A new playchoice power supply is gonna be a task... Is there Any way to replace the power supply with a universal power supply?
So I may have continuous power without any issues.
Thanks for your replies guys..

I have never heard of the power converter causing this problem. To my knowledge, if the converter is bad then you would be "playing blind", and would not be able to see the "wait 10 seconds" message.

Before replacing the power converter you need to test the voltages to make sure it is defective. Do you know how to use a meter to read voltage? If so, the brown, red, and orange wires are ground. The yellow and green and +12VDC. The blue and purple are +5VDC. You can see these wires in my video; they conected to the new AC to DC power converter. Check for the 5 and 12 volts. If they are present, then the power converter is okay.

Let me know,

Greg

Thank you Greg. I was having this same problem. I replaced my power supply.....getting 5.1 volts at the board......and all works great!!! Thank you again.
