So I get some samples from a couple of collectors in the mail over the last couple of months and I have some questions. The first sample I got (although way too short to use) looks like standard original FLAT T-molding but I believe 9/16" and offset barb. The second set of samples I received look like standard curved white t-molding but with an offset barb.

(Example but this isn't offset...)

So, did Nintendo make and install offset T-molding both ways on their press-board cabinets?

I'm planning on manufacturing offset t-molding that is FLAT like the T-molding I just had done for standard plywood Nintendo's. But, before I can do so I need "good samples" and possibly a piece of the original cabinet (if your scrapping one out I need a 1' piece of the cabinet that isn't swelled and has a good slot in it for the manufacture).

So, anyone have any info?

I can't cut a piece off of the cab, but I can send you a sample (as long as this comes out so I can replace it :) ). How big of a sample do you need?

PM me your address. I pulled off one side thinking I would send the whole thing. Turns out you will get lots of little chunks; it breaks before it bends.

Yes it does. I was the second guy to send a sample, and when I tried to bend it just a tiny bit in the box, snap! Man, that stuff is SUPER brittle.

I just sold a particle board cabinet that had this offset white t-molding on it. It was CURVED on the top, like regular t-molding. Looked to be original, I couldn't tell that it had been trimmed or anything. Not having a replacement option, I spray painted it white again. Looked pretty good.

I have an original sample off Punch-Out that has the super flat top. It's approximately 10 inches long and while brittle, this section seems to be sturdy enough. I don't have any pieces of the cabinet I can send, but I have some calipers I can take measurements with.

Ok, just got another offset sample however it looks like standard "curved" T-molding but offset.

Anyone have super flat "offset" nintendo t-molding they will donate to the project? I know it exists because I have a 2-3" piece that was sent to me months ago.

Thanks for all the help so far. Unfortunately I cannot send it to the manufacture with fear that they could confuse the order.

I will check when i get home later today. I know i pulled the T-molding off of my punch-out but i think i left a few pieces on top when it broke off. Will check and see how flat it is.
