machine runs fine for about 20 minutes, then the monitor starts clicking once every few seconds and the picture rolls each time it clicks. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I had one do this and it turned out to be a bad flyback. - Barry

This seems to be more common lately. I never used to have to replace the Sanyo flybacks but have a bunch in the last year. SuperGWario could tell you how to fix it up with window caulking. ask him about it, lol.

haha yeah i suppose it isn't the most approved way but I just used some black silicone and apply it on and around the flyback, then let the silicone sit for about a day before i power it on again. this has worked for me twice so far.

can you give some more detail? where do you apply the caulking? on the flyback piece attached to the board? can you take some pictures? I might give it a whirl but I want to be sure I know what the heck you are doing before I attempt it.

got around to doing this today. I applied silicon around the top part in the little crevice that runs up there, filled that in. the screen still jumped but it was a lot more infrequent, maybe once every 15-20 minutes and that is pretty darn good considering it was jumping once every 15 seconds. I left it on for around 2 hours and it rarely jumped.

so I would say this is another success. I plan on leaving it on for a few hours and see if I can get it to jump more frequently so maybe I'll be able to see somewhere to apply more silicon, but I'm pretty happy with it how it is now. so thanks to all who suggested this quick fix. I plan on getting the flyback replaced some day, but at least I can play the game in the meantime.

It was a pretty good day for arcade repair. i have a war gods cabinet with an Xbox 360 in it and the speakers had a lot of static, I couldn't figure it out for a while. then i noticed that it seemed to just be the left one, so I went to unplug that one and low and behold I found this little piece of plastic stuck inside the speaker, sitting on top of the cone. I have no idea what it is but once I got it out the speakers sounded great.

I also had the x360 that was in that cab die on me though today. E74 error, which I've read can sometimes be fixed by taking the heatsinks off and applying some thermal paste, tried that to no avail so I junked it. replaced it with one of the other 6 xbox 360s I have around the house.

when i fired it up yesterday it was only a few hours after i applied the silicon. today I turned it on for a few hours and i didn't see it roll once. I didn't watch the thing the whole time but I did play a few games on it and watched it for a while, awesome 3 dollar fix.
