I have a few Nintendo cabs that are in the process of restoration. One thing I noticed is that the bottom bezel bracket is used both with the lip facing out and facing in. The manual does not really give a good close up of the bracket, but Mike's shows the photo below as the lip is facing out.

What is your preference / looks best? Lip facing out or facing in?

ive had cabs with them both ways also. i prefer then out because it makes removing the bezel 10x easier. with it facing in its such a pita to get it out. looks wise i dont think i makes that much of a difference.
funny you posted this about 10 min ago i just changed one around to face out on my DK
thats my opinion

The lip is supposed to be on the outside for bezel removal. Many operators turned them around making it difficult to remove so the GP couldn't get free credits...... - Barry

Oh... I'm an idiot... I thought you all were talking about the lower marquee bracket... derr!! Yes if you were to flip that bezel trim around, getting the bezel out would be a pain.

it was intended to be outside, so when the operator pulls back the lock bar, it can be removed from the front. They probably were in such a hurry they put some on backwards when attaching them to the bezel. Early 80's quality control sucked.

Anyone repro these yet?

Funny, I remember seeing them as a kid with the lip facing out so of course we lifted the bezel up and pulled it out, free credits for everyone...:)

When I saw them turned in I figured it was a security thing and of course the bezel didn't budge...not knowing there was a lockbar involved till I owned one....
