I haven't tried anything so this may be something very easy and make me look stupid but whatever. I have a VS Red Tent with all of it's original locks on it. They are all jammed to the unlocked position. See...

How do I unlock these bad boys so I don't have to scrap them??? I have a proper key but can't use it since the lock is in a fixed position and the key cannot be inserted.

File or grind the "nub" of the key down just enough so you can insert it into the lock at the unlocked position.

Okay, I got the lid locks usable. However, now I gotta figure out where to locate the key to the cash boxes. The Red Tent came with two types of tubulars. One type that held the lids down (there are four of these). They look like this...

Then there are two locks that are for the cash box. It is even listed in the Red Tent manual. This is what they look like...

Anyone got any ideas of where I can locate the second Nintendo tubular key???

Last bump on the 1502 lock and I will divert my attentions elsewhere. Thanks Phet and Ken for the help with the K6510.

Coin boxes and coin doors were not furnished with standard locks/keys from the factory, Ops were to use their own, naturally.

The 1502 tube is just a random tube some Op bought BITD, to obtain the key you will need to identify the manufacturer.

I'd just slap a double-bitted Fort Lock tube on there, since that's what most everyone used on them back then.

That's the answer I was looking for. It's not super conclusive but it works. I was just curious because in the VS Red Tent manuel under the parts list I doesn't say the type of lock but it mentions 4 for the table and 2 for the coin doors. Now I can just put this to rest.

Thank you to all who replied for the help that was provided.
