I was checking out the restoration showcase sub forum section today (sheesh- who knew that existed?) and I came across CamaroMurph's Helifire Restoration. I was the person who sold him that from a warehouse raid along with a Radarscope, and it pains me that I'll probably never come across another one again.

I wrote a blog article about the game since many folks have never heard of it before: http://bit.ly/uJxTkS , but I was wondering how many of you own or have even seen a Helifire in Person? Does anyone have production numbers on this game? How about other early Nintendo games?

Share if you currently own or have previously owned any of the following: Space Firebird, Sheriff, or Helifire. I am kicking myself for letting this one go, but I am glad it went to a good guy.

There's a cool tab you can click on in the KLOV toolbar called 'new posts(arcade)'. It helps me to not miss much around here, as long as I check in at least once a day or so. Smalltownguy located a Nintendo Space Demon mini and allowed me to borrow it to copy. It is shown here next to my DK cabaret. Unfortunately, the marquee sticker was gone:

I gave away a Space Demon mini marquee a couple of years ago. Now I wish I would have made a hi-res scan of it first!

That Space Demon is cool. I had to look that one up. Didn't know it was even produced. Apparently it is a variation of Space Firebird. I've seen a Sega Space Firebird upright before, but never a Space Demon. Sucks the art on that one is so limited. Imagine how cool a full art package could be for a game titled Space Demon.

Anyone else own one of the early Nintendo titles?

I passed on a working Helifire cocktail here in Tucson a few years ago. IIRC, he wanted $125 for it.

Space Demon is ALOT of fun to play....was playing it on my day off this past Wednesday! I just WISH they made a Radarscope in this cabinet!! Todd

I have a Space Firebird cocktail, although the version I have is Gremlin/Sega, who licensed it from Nintendo to distribute in certain markets:

The underlay also jumps out nicely under black light:

I think you guys have figured this out but Space Demon is a Bootleg of Space firebird... Or at Least thats what Mame has it listed under.

Kinda Strange seeing Space Demon was a Nintendo Under it .

Very Nice Space Firebirds cocktails guys.

I used too have a Upright machine kinda reminds me of a Frogger cab.

I wish i still had the game . *If i could only find another one!*

You can't trust what the KLOV listing says for anything.

I don't think it's a bootleg, as you can see in Todd's picture, it's actually badged as a Nintendo game. They wouldn't bootleg their own game!

Space Firebird was a nintendo creation, Shigeru Miyamoto worked on it a little bit. I've never played Space Demon, but if it was a bootleg they wouldn't have put a Nintendo logo on it, and Nintendo would have no reason to bootleg their own game in the first place.

Edit: I looked it up, the gameplay is very different, they're two completely different games.

They are not completely different games. They play pretty much the same except that your ship can go through the top of the screen and come out the bottom on Space Firebird..On Space Demon you only go up 3/4 of the way and then come back down. The only other differences are that the sprites have been changed so the ship and your enemies look different and the sounds might have been altered a bit too from what I remember.
